Simultaneous determination of heavy metals, other metals or semi-metals in Food, Environmental and Clinical Samples

Project no. 629 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

In this project, chemical analyzes of metals and semi-metals in the food, environmental and clinical samples in the revolving fund studies carried out in the Chemistry Department of Ege University, as well as student laboratories and research projects in and out of the university were performed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS) and the results were evaluated. With the financial support provided by the infrastructure project No. 16 FEN 059, and the auction held by the Rectorate of Ege University on 23.05.2017, the purchase of the ICP-MS measurement system with its accessories was completed. The installation of the ICP-MS device was carried out in September 2017 in the Chemistry Department 021 laboratory, and the trainings to be provided to researchers and graduate students who will use the device was completed. From the device installation to the final report period, using the ICP-MS analytical measuring system; compliance with regulations in water (drinking, irrigation and wastewater), food (food samples of military personnel; yoghurt, cheese, flour, fish, meat and meat products, etc.), industrial products (textile, construction, paint, paper, mining) and quality control and determination of metal and heavy metal for quality control in some raw materials were realized in simultaneous, fast, sensitive, accurate, and low cost fashion and the analysis reports are given to related institutions, organizations or persons. Chemical analyses of metal and semi-metals in research projects and graduate students' thesis studies were performed and analysis results were also given to related persons.
