İnülence zengin biyokütlelerin lewis asidi varlığında katalitik hidrotermal dönüşümü
Project no. 21164 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019
Summary
In this study, the hydrothermal conversion of chicory plant rich in inulin content and the production of value-added chemicals by hydrothermal conversion of chicory were studied. Over time, the depletion of fossil fuel reserves and the impact of the processing of fossil fuels on environmental pollution have led to increased interest in renewable resources. Value-added chemicals such as hydroxymethyl furfural and levulinic acid, which are petroleum-based and known as platform chemicals and can be converted into products with very different commercial value, can be obtained from biomass samples. This study was completed by Ege University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit within the scope of the project numbered FLP-2019-21164 and in this study formic acid, acetic acid, levulinic acid and 5-hydroxy methyl furfural were synhesized from chicory by hydrothermal conversion. The effects of parameters such as temperature, pH and reaction time on product formation were investigated.
