Comparison of the Effects of Conventional Planning and 3D Digital Planning in Orthognathic Surgery on the Preoperative Period

Project no. 20855 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2020

Summary

While the world is becoming dependent on technology, it is predicted that the accuracy and instructive possibilities of virtual surgery planning should not be ignored, and that traditional model surgery will completely leave its place to virtual surgery planning in the treatment of patients. In our study, surgical simulation surgeries will be planned, the incisions and shaping of the bones will be designed in computer environment. After the necessary cutting guides are designed to make these incisions, full-size models of the bones and incision guides will be obtained. Thanks to this technology, it will now be possible to perform some shaping and repair operations on facial bones that could not be done before. Our hypothesis in the study; It is to ensure that precise measurements and analyzes can be made in the hard and soft tissue before the surgical procedures to be applied to the face area according to the conventional method in an operation to be performed by making 3D virtual planning preparations, and to reduce the preoperative working time.
