The Role of MicroRNAs in Predicting Prognosis in Newly Diagnosed Colorectal Cancers
Project no. 32283 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2024
Summary

Colorectal Cancer is an important public health problem. Some patients do not respond to initial chemotherapy. Early detection of these patients may allow early application of complementary or additional treatments and may have significant effects on survival. It is important to investigate miRNAs with biomarker potential in predicting prognosis. In this study, the expression levels of miR-1229-5p, miR-1246, miR-21-5p and miR-96-5p determined in newly diagnosed colorectal cancer patients will be examined by RT-PCR. It is planned to collect plasma samples from peripheral blood from participants between March 2024 and June 2024. The samples will be stored at -80 degrees. In order to evaluate the prognosis of the patients, 2 interviews will be held with an interval of 3 months between June 2024 and December 2024. In this study, to predict the prognosis; The aim is to bring these 4 miRNAs into clinical use as biomarkers and to direct them to early approaches that can have a positive impact on patient survival.
