GYROVISCOUS MAGNETOROTATIONAL INSTABILITY WITH VISCOUS STRESSES AND HEAT FLUX
Project no. 631 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
In this study, linear analysis of Gyroviscous Magnetorotational Instability (GvMRI), which is expected to occur in the accretion discs containing diluted plasma threaded by a weak magnetic field, was performed. In particular, the focus is on the Radiatively Inefficient Accretion Flows (RIAFs) around the black holes. In these flows, since the heat energy is kept inside the disk, the disk has low radiation power. Therefore, in these flows, heat such as angular momentum must be carried outwardly so that the turbulence appears. Considering this fact, we have taken into account the heat flux due to the viscous stress tensor in the energy equation in this study. We obtained the dispersion relation by using linearized MHD equations. Growth rates of instability are calculated from numerical solutions of dispersion relation and growth rate – wave number graphs are plotted for various disc parameters.
