SYNTHESIS OF NITRON COMPLEXES AND INVESTIGATION OF CATALITIC ACTIVITIES
Project no. 20423 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019
Summary
This thesis deals with the synthesis of Nitron NHC complexes and their catalytic activity. It has a wide range of applications in many different catalytic systems such as asymmetric transfer hydrogenation, hydrosilylation, hydroboration, hydroformylation, allelic substitution, C-C bonding, C-H activation and polymerization reactions of NHC compounds and synthesized metal complexes as catalysts. Nitron is the cheapest NHC in the literature as an NHC compound. Therefore, Ru-, Ir-, Rh- and Pd-nitron complexes were synthesized by using Nitron compound. Their catalytic activities were investigated in alpha-alkylation and Suzuki-Miyaura reactions. Thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, some studies have been done with the NHC and nitron properties, synthesis methods and nitron complexes. The second chapter includes experimental studies. In the third chapter, the characterization and catalytic properties of the synthesized complexes are given. The synthesized compounds were preared from the metal salts of Ru, Ir, Rh, Pd and Nitron. The catalytic properties of Ru-, Ir-, Rh-nitron complexes were investigated in alpha-alkylation of ketones with primer alcohols. The Pd-nitron complexes were researched in Suzuki-Miyaura reactions.
