Summary
Various academic disciplines start to be interested in logistics sector as it gained importance in production activity. Labour economics, human resources and researchers in many other social science disciplines conduct studies on employment structure, work life, organizational culture in logistics sector. As the number of female employees and managers increase in the sector, research about this subject appeared recently along with the other research. Research on gender composition and working life of women in this sector in Turkey is very limited. Driving from this gap in the literature, this study aims at understanding working conditions in logistics sector. For this aim, in-depth interviews in the sector were conducted.
