Project no. 1119 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
In this project, analyses of trace levels of imidacaloprid and pirimicarb pesticides have been carried out by using magnetite-molecularly imprinted polymers and LC/Q-TOF/MS. For analysis of both pesticides, different parameters have been optimized and the characterization of imprinted polymers have been performed. Also, the interference effects of various organic compounds have been investigated. Upon the studies, it was found that, for determination of trace levels of pirimicarb in aqueous solutions, minimum adsorbent dose should be 15 g/L, re-binding medium was water with pH value of 9, re-binding time was 15 minutes, recovery medium was methanol and recovery time was 15 minutes. For determination of imidacloprid, minimum adsorbent dose should be 20 g/L, re-binding medium was methanol:water (v/v, 50/50), re-binding time was 30 minutes, recovery medium was methanol and recovery time was 30 minutes. Characterization of magnetite-molecularly imprinted polymers (MMIP) was performed with ATR-FTIR, SEM-EDX and VSM analysis. In LC/Q-TOF/MS analysis, linear calibration range for re-binding studies of pirimicarb was 5-250 µg/L and limit of detection (LOD) was found to be 1.22 µg/L, whereas, the linear calibration range for recovery studies was 7.5-250 µg/L and LOD was 1.60 µg/L. For re-binding studies of imidacloprid, the linear calibration range was found to be 10-500 µg/L with a LOD of 1.88 µg/L, whereas the linear calibration range for recovery studies was 10-500 µg/L with a LOD of 2.33 µg/L.
