The effect of propolis on lung cancer cell
Project no. 106 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
Propolis is a sticky substance with strong antiviral, anti-bacterial and antifungal effect, collected from the bark of trees, buds and sprouts of plants. In addition to its antioxidant effect, propolis is known to have antimicrobial, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, immunomodulatory and cytotoxic effects. It is stated that caffeic acid and its esters (CAPE) are the most important substances responsible for the carcinostatic effect of propolis. The cytotoxic and apoptotic effects of propolis on many solid tumor cell lines have been studied. Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related death for both sexes globally. Survive in incubation survival and contributing to life expectancy in the final diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Similarly, with intensive molecular studies of the department, lung view and treatment principles have been completely renewed. My study aims to demonstrate the cytotoxic activity of propolis in lung cancer cell lines and IC50 doses. Keywords: lung cancer, propolis, cytotoxicity
