KEREVİT (Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823) PİNTERİNDE SEÇİCİLİĞİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ
Project no. 1152 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
In this study, determining of selectivity properties of fyke nets used crayfish fishing, which is one of the most valuable fresh water species in Turkey, were aimed. Field works were carried out in January, April, June and October of 2017 by seasonally in Eğirdir Lake (Isparta-Turkey). In determining of the selectivity covered codend method was used. Covered codend with 14 mm stretched mesh size and 210d/12 rope thickness was used all of trial groups. Specially rigged 60 trial fyke nets were used in the study. Caught crayfish were firstly classified by codend type and then measured biometrical characteristic. CC2000 software was used estimating of selectivity parameters for single and pooled operations, also EC-Modeller software was used calculating of mean selectivity and variation between operations L50 values and selectivity range of fyke nets were estimated as 8.52(2.68), 9.12(3.34), 8.47(2.62), 9.26(1.36) and 8.88(2.21) cm for spring, summer, fall, winter and mean respectively. As a result, length selectivity of current crayfish fyke-nets was estimated as below the minimum landing size of A. leptodactylus. New studies with different bar spacing grids need to be investigated for improving the selectivity of fyke nets.
