DETERMINATION OF PARACETOMEL WITH ELECTROANALYTIC METHOD USING MODIFIED ELECTRODE

Project no. 467 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017

Summary

Abstract: Overoxidized Poly Eriochrome Black T modified glassy carbon electrode (PEBTox/GCE) was prepared by electropolymerisation of Eriochrome Black T (EBT) monomer using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The sensor was used for the determination of paracetamol (PAR) with differential pulse voltammetry in phosphate buffer at pH = 6.0. The advantage of this electrode is the simple preparation of the electrode surface and the absence of additional modifying agent. Using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy techniques, the surface structures of poly eriochrome Black T (PEBT) and PEBTox/GCEfilm electrodes are illuminated. Cyclic voltammetry study indicated the oxidation of paracetamol at the electrode surface through a two-electron reversible step and fundamentally controlled by adsorption. The surface area of the electrodes was found to be 0.041 cm2 of GCE and 0.063 cm2 of PEBTox/GCE. The calibration curve was linearly related to the concentration of paracetamol in the range from 5.0x10-8 M ila 6.0x10-7 M and LOD is 4.05x10-9 for PAR. The interfering effect of common interferents on the current response of paracetamol has been reported The PEBTox/GCE sensor showed good repeatability. The proposed method was successfully applied using synthetic urine with recovery 96.3%. Keywords: Parcetamol, eriochrome Black T, differential pulse voltammetry
