Effect of Soil Reaction and Lime Content on Germination and Growth of Amaranthus palmeri

Project no. 22598 · Status: Kapanmış · 2021

Summary

In this study carried out at Ege University Faculty of Agriculture, the germination and growth of Amaranthus palmeri in soils with different pH and lime content were investigated. For this purpose, in the first study carried out with 3 replications in 20 different soils with pH between 4.85-7.86, significant correlations could not be determined. However, the highest dry biomass production was observed in soils with pH 7.37 and 7.03, respectively. Although no significant statistical results could be reached in the second set soils with lime content varying between 1.03-49.23%, the highest dry biomass production was observed in soils with lime content of 20.54% and 6.69%, respectively.
