Özet

ABSTRACT Textile materials are subjected to various physical and chemical changes during usage. Some physical changes occur in materials as a result of handling and washing. Shape deformations such as knee and elbow marks resulting from deformation, appearance deformations such as pilling, fuzz formation and abrasion caused by friction cause the material to wear and decrease its service life. Friction helps to reveal some negative properties such as yarn deformation, unevenness and strength. As one of these physical deformations, abrasion is caused by rubbing of the fabric on a textile surface, rubbing of the fabric on a non-textile surface, or dust, sand, etc. that has entered the fabric. It may occur in the form of friction between foreign materials and fibers or friction between fabric components. Generally, more wear is seen as certain areas such as the collars of the garment, the inside of the trouser parts, the inside of the arms, the elbows and the cuffs form the main contact area of the fabric. Within the scope of the project, the abrasion resistance of the yarns and the abrasion resistance of the fabrics produced were determined and the relationship between the yarn and fabric parameters was determined. Keywords: abrasion resistance, yarn abrasion, fabric abrasion, correlation analysis, CTT (Constant Tension Transport), Martindale Abrasion Tester
