Project no. 28506 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2023
Summary

In this study, the removal of 4-nitroaniline (4-NA) and methylorange (MO) which are hazardous to the environment and human health from wastewater and the catalytic reduction of organic pollutants were aimed. The catalytic performance and properties of imidazolate type metal organic network structures for catalytic reduction were investigated. Catalytic performance and properties of imidazolate type metal organic network structures were investigated for catalytic reduction. ZIF-67 was selected for the imidazolate type metal organic network structure. The synthesized material within the scope of the study was modified with HNT, CuO and cellulose, which show molecular adsorption or catalyst support. ZIF-67 was modified with halloysite nanotube (HNT) due to its unique crystal structure, copper oxide (CuO) to increase the surface area of the catalyst and thermal and hydraulic stability, which increases the catalytic activity, and cellulose, which has beneficial adsorption properties for organic pollutants due to its high specific surface area and electrostatic attraction. The catalyst supported by HNT was used for MO reduction, while the catalyst supported by CuO and cellulose was used for 4-NA reduction. The main purpose of modifying ZIF-67 was to increase its reduction performance, reusability and reduce its cost. The morphological and structural properties of all materials were determined by SEM-EDS, FTIR, XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption and XPS analyses within the scope of the study. Some parameters affect the catalytic reduction performance of organic pollutants, these parameters can be listed as temperature, amount of catalyst, initial concentration of organic pollution and amount of reducing agent. Parametric and kinetic studies were carried out to understand the effect of the relevant parameters, and the reusability of the catalysts was examined.
