Effect of horse manure compost and treatment sludge on the properties of a Xerofluvent soil and plant production
Project no. 869 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
In this study, corn plant is grown with both individual (2t / da and 4 t / da) and mixed application of sewage sludge compost and horse manure compost on xerofluent soils. In this study, horse manure compost and sludge compost materials were applied to a Xerofluvent soil as organic fertilizer, both singly (2t / da and 4 t / da) and together, and corn plant was grown in mineral fertilized soil. The effects of applications on soil properties and yield of corn plant were investigated. Some physical and chemical properties of sandy soil have improved in applications where the sludge compost is used in alone and together with horse manure compost. The highest cob yield was determined in a mixture of sludge sludge and horse manure compost at 4 t / ha. Soil bulk density, % moisture in the field capacity and wilting point, structure stability index, dispersion and suspension ratio values have improved especially in treatment sludge compost applications (AÇK-4). The highest cob length and the highest number of leaves were obtained in applications of sludge compost applications with single or horse manure compost. The highest corb grain number and the highest corb diameter were obtained only in sludge compost applications
