Summary
<p class="ql-align-justify">Astragaloside IV is a saponin-type secondary metabolite that can also be produced from its <span style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);">glycosylic</span><span style="color: red;"> </span>derivatives by extraction, separation, microbial and enzymatic hydrolysis. Astragaloside IV can be obtained as a result of hydrolysis of Astragaloside VII which is extracted from Radix Astragali. The chemical processes used for the production of Astragaloside IV lead to the formation of many by-products and chemical waste that are difficult to remove. Alternative biological hydrolysis methods are being developed to solve this problem. Reuse of enzymes by immobilization without a significant decrease in their activity is important because of advantages such as process continuity, ease of downstream processing, and pollution reduction. Although in bioprocesses the use of enzymes in free form is still common today, it doesn’t allow the reuse of enzymes, which increases the cost. Making enzymes reusable through the immobilization process, can significantly reduce the cost. Because it provides the opportunity to separate enzymes from the hydrolysis medium by simple magnetic effect, the use of magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) in enzyme immobilization provides time and cost savings. In the project titled "<strong>Usage of magnetic nanoparticle immobilized beta glucosidase and beta xylosidase enzymes in biotransformation of prodrug molecules''</strong>, which was previously completed by our team, the β Glucosidase (<em>Aspergillus niger</em>) enzyme Fe3O4 was immobilized on magnetic nanoparticles (MNP), and hydrolysis of Astragaloside VII to Astragaloside IV has also been successfully performed. In this proposed project, it is aimed to make changes or optimizations for the factors that can be effective in increasing the performance of the hydrolysis reaction, based on the previous results.</p><p class="ql-align-center"></p><p class="ql-align-center"></p>
