Summary
<p>In this thesis, electric field applications were performed on model membranes and their effects on model membrane structures were investigated.</p><p> </p><p>Biological and model membranes are among the most studied topics today. To date, many researches have been conducted using electric fields for biological membranes. Especially cancerous tumors have been tried to be destroyed by using electric field. As a result of these studies, it was observed that tumor cells decreased with appropriate electric field values. Such applications for model membranes have not been sufficiently studied.</p><p>In order to observe the effects of electric field on model membranes, the development of a device capable of generating different electric fields was studied. Thanks to electronic components such as amplifier circuits, microcontrollers, signal generator modules, an electric field generator with adjustable amplitude and frequency values was developed. With the device produced, the effects of the electric field on the model membranes were examined and responses were tried to be obtained.</p><p>In addition, the developed device paved the way for new laboratory studies that can be carried out on model membranes after this thesis.</p>
