Bitkisel lif ve Alkali Lignin Katkılı Şekil Hafızalı Polimer Kompozit Malzeme Üretimi
Project no. 22207 · Status: Kapanmış · 2021
Summary

In the realized project, the production of shape memory polymer composite material, which has a shape recovery rate and can be activated by the effect of temperature, was realized by using hemp/cotton fiber as reinforcement material and alkali lignin and shape memory epoxy resin as matrix material. First of all, shape memory epoxy resin mixtures were prepared by incorporating alkali lignin into shape memory epoxy resin in determined proportions (0, 1, 3, 5%). In the production of shape memory polymer composite material, shape memory epoxy resin mixtures containing different ratios of alkali lignin (0, 1, 3, 5%) were used as matrix material, and glass fiber and hemp/cotton fiber were used as reinforcement materials. Thermal, mechanical and morphological tests of the produced glass fiber reinforced shape memory polymer composite materials were performed and the alkali lignin ratio, which gives the best shape recovery rate, was determined as 5%. Then, shape memory polymer composite material production was carried out at different curing temperatures (80 and 100 °C) by using shape memory epoxy resin mixture containing 5% alkaline lignin and hemp/cotton fiber. Thermo-mechanical, morphological and shape memory tests of the produced shape memory polymer composite materials were carried out. As a result, it was clearly seen from the analysis results that alkali lignin reinforcement to the shape memory polymer matrix increases the fiber/matrix interfacial interaction in the production of hemp/cotton fiber reinforced shape memory polymer composite material. It was concluded that the curing processes applied at 80 and 100 °C had significant effects on the thermo-mechanical, morphological and shape memory properties of shape memory polymer composites (SMPCs). It was concluded that the sample with the closest properties to the glass fiber reinforced shape memory polymer composite material produced at 100 °C was the hemp/cotton fiber reinforced sample produced at 100 °C.
