THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT DISTRIBUTOR VANES ON THE DISTRIBUTION UNIFORMITY OF ROTARY DISC FERTILIZER BROADCASTERS

Project no. 1032 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

The objective of this study is to determine the effects of different distributor vanes on the uniformity of distribution of rotary disc fertilizer broadcasters. In the first stage of the research, the design of the distributor vanes of the fertilizer broadcaster was designed. [ profiled distributor vanes prepared for this purpose and straight, single-channel, three-channel and asymmetrically designed and produced. 15-15-15 compound fertilizer was used in the experiments. At the end of the study, the coefficient of variation (CV %) used in the fertilizer distribution uniformity expression and the amount of fertilizer (left / right or right / left ratio) to be placed on both sides of the machine in the direction of progress were determined. Experiments were conducted according to ASAE S341.4. According to the results of them, the three-channel distributor vane and the straight distributor vane provided good (CV: 10.12%) and acceptable (CV: 14.87%), respectively. Work widths were found sufficient for both distributor vanes.
