Effects of Dietary Black Seed Oil (Nigella sativa L.) Supplementation on Performance, Nutrients Digestibility, Meat Quality and Some Blood Constituents of Broilers

Project no. 1005 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

In this study, it was evaluated the effect of black seed oil supplementation to the diet on performance (live weight, live weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio), carcass and carcass parts ratios, edible internal organs and relative organ weights, digestive system organ weights and relative organ weights, color values of breast and thigh meat, physical and chemical values of breast meat, sensory analysis of breast meat, mortality rate, nutrients digestibility and some blood constituents of broilers. For this purpose, a total of 300 broiler chicks were randomly divided into 3 treatment groups consisting of 5 replicates each consisting of 20 animals. The first group was separated as control group and 250 ppm to C2 group and 500 ppm to C3 group were added to black seed oil mixed feed. All experimental diets and water were provided ad-libitum. At the end of the study, the supplementation of black seed oil did not affect investigated parameters. Key words: Broiler, Nigella sativa, black cumin, performance, digestibility.
