PREPARING SUITABLE ELECTRODES FOR UPSCALING NEXT GENERATION PEROVSKITE SOLAR CELLS
Project no. 623 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
The perovskite solar cells, which are originally based on organometallic halides, has risen from 3,83% to 22,1% in a 5 year period as a result of serious research and development activities. However, the most significant perovskite structure methylammonium iodide (MAPbI3) is found to be highly sensitive to air and moist due to the hydroscopic ammonium cation within the structure, which is detrimental to the cells stability. Thusly, it is quite clear that, it is vital to come up with new technologies that would lead the perovskite solar cells to a better stability and implementable in larger scales. Serving to this purpose, this project aims to determine the most suitable electrode structure applicable for upscaling. The active layer consisting Cs0.05FA0.81MA0.14PbI2.53Br0.45 was used in different device architectures. As electron transfer materials, TiO2 and PCBM was used, while PEDOT:PSS and Spiro-OMeTAD was used. The highest power conversion efficiency achieved is 15,6%.
