Geostatistical Analysis of Certain Groundwater Quality Parameters in Gümüldür
Project no. 974 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
In this study, the data obtained from 52 irrigation wells in Gümüldür region were used, aiming at to determine spatial variability of certain groundwater quality parameters by means of geostatistical methods and to construct prediction maps at unsampled locations using kriging techniques. A data set composed of 2781 sample data were constructed for gestatistical analysis. Using there data, experimental semivariograms were constructed and theoretical semivariogram model were fitted and parameters were determined. According to the results of the geostatistical analysis, the spherical, exponential and gaussian models including the nugget effect were suitable for all the water quality parameters. Also, it was determined that these parameters showed similar spatial variability in study area. Besides, the highest values of parameters were determined in July and in the wells close to the coast.
