COMBINED TOPICAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND IN VITRO CHARACTERIZATION STUDIES FOR USING HYPERPIGMENTATION

Project no. 240 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

A combined microemulsion-gel formulation with two different substances known to be of natural origin and known to be safe against hyperpigmentation will be prepared in the study. The substances selected for this purpose are the flavonoid and licorice extract of hesperetin, which have a suppressive effect on different pathways in the formation of skin spots. Hesperetin, which will be supplied in standardized form, has a suppressing effect in the process of melanin synthesis, while licorice extract (licorice) affects the process after melanin synthesis in the skin. Therefore; Within the scope of the project, microemulsion-gel formulations containing these active substances will be developed for topical use using different polymers. The project will begin with studies to investigate the impurities and interactions of active substances and polymers. Drug forms will then be prepared and specific in vitro characterization studies of the formulations will be initiated. pH, particle size, polydispersity index determination, TPA and bioadhesion analysis and rheological analysis studies will be carried out in the final formulation.
