CONTRIBUTION OF STATISTICAL SOFTWARE IN THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF STATISTICS STUDENTS

Summary
In this project, it is aimed to evaluate the effect of the active use of the MINITAB program, one of the statistical ready-made software programs, on the success and attitudes of the students of the Department of Statistics. Our project has been completed under two main headings: "Measuring students 'attitudes towards statistics" and "Investigating the effect of MINITAB Software on students' exam success scores". At the stage of measuring students' attitudes towards statistics, the "Attitude Scale Towards Statistics" questionnaire, pre-test and post-test were applied in 2 stages. The pre-test was completed with 77 students and the post-test with 70 students. The investigation phase of the effect of MINITAB Software on students' exam success points was completed with 79 students. In this context, the contribution of statistical ready-made software to the professional development of the Department of Statistics students was investigated. The results obtained have made a significant contribution to determining the effect of ready-made software on the professional development of statistics students and to revisiting the undergraduate curriculum of the statistics department.
