RESEARCH ON APPLICATIONS IN THE MONA SOYA BEAN VARIETY TO IMPROVE GERMINATION AND SEEDLING EMERGENCE PERFORMANCE
Project no. 21270 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019
Summary
In this study, soybean plant seeds, also known as "Yellow Gold" and "Miracle Plant", which have a very important point in the agricultural production structure in the world, were used. Soy is an industrial plant that can be used in both human and animal nutrition with its rich protein content. In the study, it was aimed to increase the germination and seedling emergence performance of soybean seeds and to increase the seeds with the treatments to be made. For this purpose, seeds of "Mona" soybean variety, which are widely used in production, were used as trial material. In order to improve the germination performance of these seeds and to increase their quality, pre-sowing treatments were made to the seeds. For this purpose, 6 different treatments were applied to the seeds and the effects of these treatments on the seed germination rate compared to the control were investigated. According to the findings obtained; The highest values in terms of germination and emergence rates were reached as a result of pre-germination (priming) and polymer coating + KNO3 treatments.
