Investigation of Electrical Resistance, Acoustic Absorption and Other Physical Properties of Different Textile Surfaces
Project no. 1271 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
Textile products have become more functional nowadays due to the changes in consumer expectations and the opportunities provided by technological advances. In addition to having appropriate mechanical properties, the textile surfaces used especially in the field of protective clothing are expected to have vital technical properties in some subjects such as handle, water repellency / water resistance and anti-static properties. These technical features enable textile products to be produced with higher added value. These acquired features provide important contributions to our country in terms of increasing our exports by producing products with high competitive power and high profit margins that our sector needs. Various fabrics produced from different materials used in the production of protective textile products and non-woven surface textile products used in the automotive industry were investigated in this study. Besides the dimensional and mechanical properties of these textile surfaces, stiffness (circular bending strength) and surface kinetic friction were also examined. Thereafter, electrostatic properties and acoustic absorption properties of these textile surfaces were measured and a comparative analysis was conducted. The differences between the results were evaluated statistically.
