Summary
The Use of Drained Nutrition Solution Pre-Used In Soilless Culture Head Lettuce (Lactuca sativa capitata cv. Bombola) Cultivation Under Saline Condition In Kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala cv. Nagoya) Cultivation The research between 2017-2019 for head lettuce and kale cultivation in the perlite environment with soilless culture technique under saline conditions was carried out in two different greenhouses in Ege University Bayındır Vocational School. In head lettuce cultivation; the effect of three different salinity levels (EC0: Control, EC1: EC0+1 dS m-1, EC2: EC0+2 dS m-1) on yield and plant growth were determined by adding stock NaCI to the Hoagland nutrient solution. In kale cultivation, 3 salinity subjects were tried, one of which was the salinity of the nutrient solution drained from the head lettuce control application (S0: control, S1: EC0 drainage solution, S2: S1+1 dS m-1). While arranging the research area in both cultivations, the 3 repetitive randomised block design was taken as the basis. According to the results obtained; in head lettuce cultivation, the yield decreased as the NaCI doses increased. The highest yield relating to production periods was determined in the control (S0) subjects, however, the lowest yield was in the highest salinity level (S2). The statistical effect of salinity (NaCI) on plant head diameter (width), plant head height (length), plant dry weight and vitamin C content was found insignificant. However, the increase in NaCI levels reduced these values. The lowest relative water content values were determined in the highest salt applications in both crop cultivation. In kale cultivation, the highest values regarding plant height and leaf width were determined in control group subjects (S0) and S1, which is the subject where waste drainage solution was used in kale cultivation. Saline conditions created with NaCI had negative effects on soilless head lettuce cultivation. It was also convinced that soilless culture drainage waters, on the condition that they were managed properly, could be an alternative for irrigation of kale.
