Design, Optimization and Application of Grid Connected Multi-Source Hybrid Renewable Energy System
Project no. 20547 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019
Summary
Due to the decrease in fossil fuel reserves in the world; Renewable energy sources have gain a lot of importance in recent years. Developed countries provide great support to research and studies in order to use these resources. The cost and reliability problems of these systems are being reduced day by day as a result of the researches. The researches carried out on the dissemination of hybrid power systems in our country have not been implemented efficiently due to the lack of existing knowledge and experience, the inability to choose the appropriate system and location, and the insufficient introduction of hybrid system technology to technical staff and end users. In this Scientific Research Project; An autonomous and grid-tied hybrid power, heating and cooling system prototype will be designed, which can use wind and solar assisted air-to-water heat pumps in optimum size and design. In this way, it is envisaged that the model and the tested hybrid system prototype will be implemented in other areas as well and efficient results will be obtained. Within the scope of the project, all the needs of the building, wind turbine (5kWp), heat pump, photovoltaic panels PV (3kWp) solar collector FPC (4×2,42m2) and thermal solar collector PV/T (400Wp, 2×1,37m2), power batteries (4×200Ah) is provided. Studies on experimental test systems are long-term and costly studies, and using energy software programs shortens these processes and reduces costs. In addition, it ensures that the changes that are planned to be made on the system are made easily and quickly. Therefore, the energy simulation program (TRANsient SYstems Simulation Program) are used for energy system simulation and optimization of system configurations. To determine the optimal design of the system, financial and economic analyzes are performed by comparing and evaluating the project financial impacts with appropriate methods. The equipment are designed and built in such a way that the performance of the entire system configuration will be tested. The results obtained by simulation and financial analysis will be compared. Infrastructure and equipment facilities in the laboratories of Ege University Solar Energy Institute are utilized in the researches to be carried out within the scope of the project. The content of the study is important in terms of setting an example for the implementation of similar practices in other units of Ege University.
