Single Stage Grid Connected Maximum Power Point Performed Energy Recovery PV System Design and İmplementation in Partial Shading Condition
Project no. 415 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
In this project, a 350 W PV system design and application, which can operate at maximum power point under partial shading condition, was made using two 175 W PV panels. By using energy recovery circuit in the PV system which is proposed in the study, bypass status on the PV panel, which is exposed to low radiaton under partial shading condition, is prevented and the continutiy of power generation from the shaded PV panel is ensured. In addition, no hot-spot or catastropic problems were encountered on the PV panels during this process. In this way, the maximum power level that can be extracted from the PV panels increased and this power obtained from the panels is transferred to the grid directly by single power circuit used in the PV system. Also, by using fuzzy logic control based MPPT technique over the single input variable on the system, the MPPT method was developed which has less rules and less complexity. Therefore, by applying fuzzy logic control based MPPT technique over single power circuit used in the PV system, maximum power point tracking was performed for the PV panels and these panels were made connected to the grid. Thus, by the proposed PV system, it is provided to increase the maximum power level under the partial shading condition and to perform the MPPT process more simply. Additionally, connecting the PV system to the grid or AC loads is achieved by using single stage converter which provides less system complexity and increased efficiency.
