Synthesis of a group of potentially active quinoxaline derivatives
Project no. 250 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
Heterocyclic compounds are one of the enormous areas of research in medicinal chemistry. Quinoxaline derivatives are pharmacologically important compounds possessing diverse biological activities i.e. antibacterial, anticancer, analgesic, antimalarial, anticonvulsant, antitubercular, and anti-inflammatory etc. Therefore, Quinoxaline nuclei is an promising heterocyclic structure for Medicinal Chemists to achieve various biologically active compounds. In this project, potential biyoactive quinoxaline derivatives bearing quinoxaline and hydrazone pharmacophoric groups have been synthesized and structures of the compounds have been confirmed by spectral analysis. Key Words: Heterocyclic compounds, Quinoxaline, Hydrazone, Synthesis.
