Synthesis, characterization of NiO-doped Graphene-conducting polymer composite materials and investigation of supercapacitor applications

Project no. 21644 · Status: Kapanmış · 2020

Summary

Within the scope of the project, graphene structure was synthesized after graphene oxide synthesis based on graphite. A composite material was obtained by making NiO synthesis in the graphene structure obtained. Finally, the polymerization of indole was carried out in the graphene-NiO structure. The electrochemical performance and capacitive properties of this electrode (GR-NiO-PIN) were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry techniques in alkaline medium. At the same time, the useful life of the material developed with galvanostatic charge/discharge curves will be determined. Chemical and physical characterizations of the synthesized electrode material were made by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Electrochemical characterization shows that the graphene-NiO-polyindole electrode can provide a specific capacitance of 427.3 F g-1 at a current density of 1.2 A g-1 shows that it offers good capacitance conservation. Electrochemical results from cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge curves showed that the GR-NiO-PIN nanocomposite electrode has significant potential for a flexible energy storage system.
