SİLİKON KATKILI OLTA YEMLERİNİN AVCILIK PERFORMANSI VE AV ETKİNLİĞİ
Project no. 1135 · Status: Kapanmış · 2015
Summary
In this study; the catching performance and catching efficiency of alive natural mud shrimp, siliconized mud shrimp and siliconized pellet were investigated into fishing with handline and longline fishery. The catching performance and catching efficiency of alive mud shrimp were studied for the first time in Turkey. Moreover, it is also first study that conducted on the catch performance and efficiency of siliconized mud shrimp and pellets in the world. The trials were carried out in Zeytinlikuyu area where is located in Kıyıkışlacık, village of Milas, district of Muğla province. The main body of the handline is Ø 0.50 mm, brunch line and gangions are Ø 0.27-0.30 mm, the gangions length and distance are 10 cm, 20 cm, respectively. The hook number is no 4, flat and 3 hook in each set. The main body of the longline is Ø 0.70 mm, brunch line and gangions are Ø 0.40 mm, the gangions length and distance between are 1.5 m and 4 m, respectively. The hook number is no 14, flat and 150 hooks in each set. A totally 35 fish species were sampled belonging to 32 with bony fish (91. 4%), 1 with cartilaginous fish (2.9%) and 2 with cephalopods (5.7%). The 75.54% of 781 specimens, belonging to 35 species were caught by handline and 24.46's% of them was also caught by longline fishery. While the 51.7% of fish were captured by alive mud shrimp, the 42.0% and 6.3% were also caught with siliconized mud shrimp and siliconized pellet, respectively. Although the number of individuals captured by line fishing was high in unit time, the weight of fish captured with siliconized mud shrimp was higher than natural mud shrimp. When taking into account of staying bait on the hook, natural mud shrimp was the most sensitive bait with 6,32%, secondly siliconized mud shrimp with %59.18?3.46 and finally siliconized pellets with %90.41?2.28. It was concluded that using of siliconized mud shrimp has high capacity of catching performance and catching efficiency and siliconized mud shrimp can be used as bait when natural mud shrimp cannot be utilized as alive or unable to be supplied, due to the weather conditions and time restrictions.
