INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTS OF FOLIAR APPLICATIONS OF NUTRITIONAL ELEMENT AND PGPR ON YIELD AND QUALITY PARAMETERS OF CHANDLER WALNUT VARIETIES AT DIFFERENT ALTITUDES
Project no. 1039 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
In this study, which was planned in two different altitudes in Chandler walnut variety, plant nutrient element (urea, potassium nitrate, boron, manganese sulphate and zinc sulphate) and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (Pseudomonas fluorescens strain WH48/1A and WH68) applications sprayed in 3 different periods. In this context; It was aimed to determine the effect of applications on phenological, morphological, physiological and chemical properties, leaf and fruit nutrient contents and yield. Accordingly, it was seen that B and Zn applications were effective in terms of fruit weight and yield. While the lateral branch fruiting was higher in the Saruhanlı location, the K application took the first place (first year 100%, second year 77%). While the shrinkage rate, which is an important quality criterion for walnut, was found to be lower in the high altitude Demirci location, the value decreased with the K application in the Saruhanlı location. In general, the level of linoleic acid was high in fruit, was followed by linoleinic and oleic acid, respectively. The applications had a positive effect on the leaf and fruit plant nutrients. Generally, the plant nutrient content in the fruit was higher in Demirci location at high altitude. On the other hand, in bacterial applications, it is seen that the properties examined in the low altitude Saruhanlı location are better than the Demirci location.
