ANALYSIS AND IDENTIFICATION OF STRATEGIES FOR TURKISH ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE INDUSTRY THROUGH A CUSTOMER-ORIENTED INTERNET OF THINGS TRANSFORMATION: CURRENT STATUS AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS

Project no. 829 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017

Summary

In this project, the customer and market oriented products and services offered by the Turkish Enterprise Software Industry along with the innovative and entrepreneurship aspects of their strategies have been addressed to propose a conceptual framework. For this objective, this study is designed as an exploratory study, in which recent progress in new generation customer oriented services offered by the software providers have been investigated through focus group sessions and in-depth interviews. The findings indicate an inadequacy of customer provisions through the Industry 4.0 transformation, and the rareness of industries (such as retailing, logistics) with significant adoption -but open for improvement- to the Industry 4.0 technologies. As the result of the study, a collaboration model has been proposed to facilitate the development of Industry 4.0 and IoT-based competitive strategies among the stakeholders, including participating businesses in Turkish Enterprise Software Industry, and their customers.
