2D VISUAL EFFECTS IN DIGITAL ANIMATION FILMS

Summary
Digital animation films cover a wide category among the films for theaters, television stations and other media. Although 3D films are more prominent, 2D films are still produced widely. 2D programs and practices have great importance in digital animation because they help to facilitate, shorten and enrichen animation production process. In digital animation production, 2D visual effect software is in a rapid development, and visual effect specialty has gained great functionality and importance. Due to the developments and need for the people with expertise on 2D visual effects in animation production, 2D visual effect education has been developed in universities as well as in private education institutions. Furthermore, visual effect specialty is necessary not only in digital animation films but also in live action films. In this regard, this project on 2D visual effects in digital animation will investigate the methods which help to shorten the production process regarding time and work, add creative contribution, and search the potentials of software in visual effects. The main goal of the project is to help to build a substructure in digital animation production in the department.
