Summary
<p>Phytoplankton material contains many planktonic plant and animal organisms together. It takes a lot of time for students to detect phytoplanktonic organisms under the microscope, which are very small in this material, and to find the species that are planned for practical sessions of the lessons. For this purpose, samples on the basis of species have been prepared. Some of these samples will be used during the practical sessions, so that the practical part will be more efficient, and some will be preserved as museum material in the marine phytoplankton laboratory.</p><p>As a result of the sample examination, permanent preparations of 33 diatom species were formed and added to the museum material in the marine phytoplankton laboratory in the Ege University Fisheries Faculty Museum (ESFM).</p>
