Summary
The concept of sustainability is defined as all of the applications aimed at planning industrial activities without giving damage to the environment and leaving a livable World for future generations, taking care not to destroy the natural resources. Life Cycle Analysis is a systematic, scientific approach to modeling the effects of a product or production system on the environment and on the use of natural resources during the production, use, and disposal of raw materials. Life Cycle Analysis provides a detailed and concrete view of issues related to sustainable production. As in many industries, the application of Sustainability and Life Cycle Analysis is becoming necessary in the textile industry as well. In this study, Sustainability and Life Cycle Analysis have been examined in details and in terms of alternative design possibilities in the textile sector, new designs were created in a textile finishing plant.
