BIOINFORMATIC AND EXPRESSION ANALYSIS OF PLEIOTROPIC DRUG RESISTANCE -RELATED (PDR) FAMİLY GENES OF ABC TRANSPORTER IN MUSHROOM (Agaricus bisporus)
Project no. 1250 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
This study aimed to identify the members of ABCG subfamily of ABC Transporters in edible Mushroom (Agaricus bisporus), by using various bioinformatics databases; and to determine the expression profile of these genes in stalk and cap by Real-time PCR analysis. ATPbinding cassette carriers (ABC) are one of the largest and most diverse protein families within the membrane proteins. ATP Binding Cassette-carrying proteins (ABC) are very important because they carry various specific substances which play critical roles in the development of the plant and defense mechanisms against pathogens. Pleiotropic drug resistance (PDR) plays a role in the subfamily, drug resistance, sterol uptake, stress response, tolerance to weak organic acids and terpenoids, translocation of the membrane phospholipids and quorum sensing. In this study seven proteins of PDR subfamily in Agaricus bisporus genome were identified by bioinformatics analysis. The genes (AbPDRs) encoding for PDR proteins were identified by bioinformatic analysis and a phylogenetic tree was constructed. Besides, for the first time, the expression levels of AbPDRs at different organs were determined.
