Özet

Acne vulgaris is the most common dermatologic disorder, affecting approximately 85% of 5 individuals especially during adolescence. In this study, a plaster design is developed to support 6 acne vulgaris treatment by using microsponge technology. To achieve this purpose, the 7 microsponges containing benzoyl peroxide (BPO) were prepared by quasi emulsion solvent 8 diffusion method and the obtained microparticles were examined in terms of surface 9 morphology, particle size distribution and encapsulation efficiency. FTIR and BET analysis 10 were also performed. The microsponges were spherical in shape and around 110 µm in 11 diameter. The encapsulation efficiency and drug loading from the microsponge powder was 12 found as 60.879% and 38.929%, respectively. The optimum microsponge formulation was 13 selected and applied onto textile material with spraying technique by using acrylic binder and 14 hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). The presence of BPO loaded microsponges on the 15 fabric surface was proved by SEM analyses. The encapsulation efficiency of BPO from the 16 fabric samples was found 84.193%. The release properties of microsponge and treated textile 17 material were also investigated. No burst effect has been observed, indicating that BPO was 18 homogeneously dispersed in the microsponge. The in vitro BPO release from fabric sample 19 after 3 h, the release rate of formulation was found very low (approximately 10%). This study 20 presents a new approach to the use of microsponges in the textile field.
