Summary

Magnetic nanoparticles are effective delivery systems to target \ntherapeutic genes by the attractive forces of magnetic fields. \nCurative effects depending on dose of nucleic acids or drugs \nincreased, while cytotoxic effects minimized with these systems. \nIn this study, a novel magnetic nanoparticle synthesis method \nwas developed by combining advantages of microemulsion \nand multiple emulsion methods. Particle size, zeta potential, \nmagnetization, complex formation with nucleic acids, DNase \nI protection ability, and cytotoxicity levels were examined. At \nlast, magnetic nanoparticles were obtained with a promising \nsynthesis method and it is determined that they are sufficiently \nsmall, non-toxic and have optimal surface properties for \nsystemic delivery of nucleic acids.
