Özet
Python code for all analyses in "Cold Wave Characteristics across Türkiye (1950–2025): Long-Term Trends and the Role of the Arctic Oscillation". Cold waves are identified with the Excess Cold Factor framework and summarised by five seasonal indices (CWN, CWF, CWD, CWM, CWA), computed from ERA5-Land (0.1°) and 190 meteorological station records over the 75 cold seasons 1950/51–2024/25. The archive covers index computation, Mann–Kendall and Sen's slope trend estimation, Spearman correlation and composite analysis against the Arctic Oscillation index, the AO-congruent trend decomposition at national and grid scale, sensitivity and event-level analyses, and the synoptic composite analysis of 500 hPa geopotential height and mean sea level pressure. Thirteen programs, corresponding to Appendices 1–9 of the paper. No data are redistributed; see readme.txt for sources, conventions, inputs and outputs.
