Özet

The objective of this study was to investigate wear properties of enamel against nano-fluorapatite layered on yttria stabilized tetragonal zirconia (Y-TZP), glass-ceramics layered on Y-TZP, translucent zirconia and enamel. 40 specimens (Monolitic translucent zirconia (TZ), Nano-fluoro-apatite ceramics fused to Y-TZP substructure (NC) and feldspathic ceramics fused to Y-TZP substructure (FC), natural tooth enamel (NE)) with dimensions: 12x8x2mm were prepared for 4 test groups (n=10/group). Natural tooth enamel (NE) served as the control group. Specimens were mounted on the resin plate and a natural premolar tooth was mounted on the pin of the wear test machine for each test and control specimen. Specimens were scanned with a 3D Laser Digital Scanner (Identica, Seoul, South Korea). Pin on plate abrasion wear test was applied (Tribometer TE88, Plint&Partners, Wokingham UK). Scanning process was repeated and digital difference measurements were made. A profilometer was used to measure the amount of wear for each specimen (Ambios xp-2, Santa Cruz ABD). Data were statistically analyzed (α=0.05, One-way ANOVA, SPSS 21.0). The least amount of wear was found for TC (214±44,3) (p<0,05), while NE exhibited the highest wear (1302,1±98,9) (p<0,05). Differences in tribological wear data (microns±SS) between the NC (540,5±40,7) and FC (559,6±80,9) were insignificant (p≥0.05). Results between tribological wear data, 3D digital subtraction and profilometric measurements were consistent. Translucent zirconia and enamel exhibited less wear compared to glass-ceramic. Nano-fluoro-apatite and feldspathic ceramic showed similar wear compared enamel-enamel wear.
