Summary

Ethics is one of the most widely discussed and debated concepts at both global and national levels in today’s world. This prominence drives institutions and organizations to make efforts and take actions to ensure that ethics permeates all areas of life and business processes. Whether in profit-oriented or non-profit organizations, ethics is institutionalized, reported, legislated, and integrated into organizational structures. The changes and transformations brought about by globalization in the new world order have increased the need for new approaches. Ethical frameworks, with their systematic perspectives, address critical needs at both individual and societal levels. This study focuses on ethical literacy, drawing on the growing importance of ethics today and its connection to sustainability. Adopting a conceptual framework, the study first examines the concept of ethics and its contemporary manifestations. Subsequently, it explores the scope and process of ethical literacy within this context. The study is significant as it addresses ethical literacy-a concept that plays a decisive role in human and social life-and is expected to contribute to the literature, paving the way for further research.

Keywords: Ethics, Literacy, Ethical Literacy, Ethical Behaviour, Ethical Awareness, Ethical Education.
