Özet

According to the World Health Organization, indoor radon concentrations in buildings are the second biggest risk factor for lung cancer. Therefore, investigating and reducing radon accumulations are among the most important subjects worldwide. New adsorbents based on efficient methodologies should be found. In this study, solid-state nuclear track detectors (SSNTDs) are used to measure the radon adsorption capacity of synthesized Metal-Organic Frameworks. The effectiveness of this method will be investigated. Measurements were taken with detectors both with and without adsorbent inside the radon tank to test.

This study is supported by the Ege University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit.
