Özet
A 23-years-old female patient refereed to Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in November 2022 with esthetic complaints from her anterior diastemas. She wanted to obtain straight aligned teeth in a short time and need for more esthetic appearance on her anterior tooth. Due to patient's treatment request, orthodontic treatment was not proposed. Intraoral examination showed huge diastemas on incisors and a discolored enamel defect on tooth 22. On the radiographic examination no bone loss was detected. Patients’ oral hygiene was optimal. A cast model is transformed into digital data to achieve a digital wax-up. Due to huge diastemas, the appearance of the final teeth will be larger than the expectation of both the patient and the operator. Patient was informed about the result and her consent was taken. Wax-up was printed from a 3D-printer then a silicone-index was prepared. After color selection with button-try-in technique, diastemas were closed with a nanohybrid composite resin CeramX-SphereTEC-One (Dentsply Sirona, USA) body A1 shade. At 1-year follow up, slight loss of value was observed. After repolishing the patient was satisfied about the appearance. Wax-up help dentist to analyze and visualize the treatment that is going to be performed. Patient's satisfaction, reaction and consent are other factors susceptible while performing a treatment. Digital wax-up helps patient to visualize the treatment and collaboration with the dentist while planning the treatment. The digitally guided wax-up case presented in this report have shown satisfactory results after 1-year for both the patient and the dentist.
