Özet
<p>The objective of this study was to determine the efficiency of the domestic and</p><p>imported 9 filters (disc, screen, hydrocyclone, sand separator and media filter). The</p><p>filters with different filtering features and filter combinations used in drip irrigation</p><p>systems were tested in open channel. The experiments were carried out in two steps. In</p><p>the first step, all filters were tested in laboratory in order to obtain discharge-head loss</p><p>relationships. In the second step, experiments were conducted on the B.Menderes River</p><p>for determining the head loss-time relationships and the filtering efficiency. All filters</p><p>were tested alone and as a combination.</p><p>From the study, it was found that the efficiency for disc and screen filters were within</p><p>the range of 54-60% and 61-64%, respectively. The efficiency for the hydrocyclone and</p><p>sand separator was found 37% and 36%, respectively. The highest efficiency was found to be</p><p>81% when media filter was used.</p>
