Summary
A set‐up based on a coincidence measurement was developed in order to separate beta and gamma rays emitted from a 137Cs sample. The coincidence system is composed of a NaI(Tl) and a plastic scintillation detector. According to the experimental results, a clear separation between beta and gamma rays was achieved.
