Özet
Early literacy skills in children with hearing lossReading and writing skills are among the basic skills required for school life and social life.Early literacy is defined as the prerequisite skills for literacy that are expected to be acquired from the time children are born until they start school.The main objective in the education of hearing impaired children is to develop verbal communication skills appropriate for their chronological age, to follow an academic process that can catch up with their peers, and to have similar educational opportunities to their hearing peers.In this review, summaries of studies on early literacy skills of children with hearing loss were brought together with literature research.
