Özet
The Turkic world consists of various Turkic states spread over a wide geographical area, as well as Turkic groups with autonomous status or minority populations within different countries across the continents of Asia and Europe. It is also possible to include many neighboring societies that have long-term relations and different levels of cultural interaction with Turkic peoples, referring to them as part of the “Turkic Cultural Sphere” or “Turkic Cultural Basin.” Thus, it is appropriate to define the Turkic world as a sphere composed of both “Turkic peoples” and the societies within the “Turkic cultural environment.”
