Özet

This study addresses the skills textiles sector, which serves industries such as automotive, healthcare, and construction. While like materials science, digital manufacturing, and sustainability remains limited, hindering sectoral growth. Using qualitative methods, including interviews with industry stakeholders and focus groups with vocational trainers the study identifies key gaps: insufficient technical skills in advanced textiles, limited training in sustainable practices, and a misalignment between vocational curricula and industry needs. Findings suggest that current training programs lack depth in essential areas, especially hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and understanding of environmental regulations. Recommendations include fostering closer collaboration between industry and educational institutions, modernizing training infrastructure, and enhancing practical training opportunities to better prepare students for interdisciplinary roles in technical textiles. Addressing these gaps to meet evolving industry standards. This study highlights the need for Morocco to prioritize workforce development, aligning vocational training with international standards to support sustainable growth in the technical textiles sector.
